The Diaries of a Choccy Milk Drinking Goth

- I came up with the title at 3 in the morning while I was drinking choccy milk.
- I wanted to include an aspect of performance as next year I will be moving onto the acting course, and I thought it would be a nice way to bridge the gap between art and acting.
- I will work towards producing a diary/log of my everyday life using film/video, photography, drawing/sketches, song, and writing.
- I want to use many different mediums because I feel like that way my project will be varied.
- I think I’ll likely document for 6-7 days of each week, and upload to my website/edit content/curate my work at the end of each day.
- My goal is to have portrayed my everyday life and to have given an insight into who I am, what I do, what I like, and how I spend my days.
Week 1 - 12/04/2021

- I took a nap between 6pm and 6:45pm
- I went to Lidl to buy beer for Kaia's bash
- After about 30 mins of hanging out in the park for Kaia's bash, Jaz and i went to the pub with Joe, Jo, Ellis, Poppy, and Holly

- I got back from the pub around midnight, tried to order Mcdonalds, realised they were closed, and felt sad

- Then went back to my room, ate chips, and chatted with Joe (the guy I've been talking to) until around half 3 when I fell asleep

- After editing I took a shower, I sang along to the Wicked soundtrack while I was showering
- After I got dressed I went for a cigarette, and while I was there I got invited to the pub with Joe, Jo, and Ellis
- I accepted their offer and went to the pub with them, it was around 4:30pm

- Woke up at 10am initially, went back to sleep and re-awoke at 1pm
- I had I'm still here (Jim's theme) by John Rzeznik stuck in my head when I woke up, I must have been dreaming about it or something (not that I remember)
- Also when I woke up my mouth was insanely dry, so I chugged loads of water

- We initially tried to get into the Golden Fleece pub but there were no tables, so we went to The Crown
- In The Crown we did not feel welcome at all. All of the locals kept staring at us and pointing, so we only stayed for 1 round there
- After the round in The Crown we went to get Mcdonald's, I got chicken nuggets, chips, a cheeseburger, and mozzarella dippers
- After the Mcdonald's we went back to the Golden Fleece, and luckily there was a table for us
- While there we had 3 more rounds of drinks. we also met a group of very loud girls who made me didn't stop talking, which gave me major sensory overload
- At closing time (around half 11) we got told to drink up, so we did and then went back to Waterside
- When we were back at Waterside we went to Liza's flat and had a few more drinks and danced to indie music
- I left Liza's at about 2:30am, went back to my flat, and fell asleep

- Because I was so hungover, I barely did anything all day
- I was really missing my ex's dog which caused me to not feel too good all day
- I went drinking in the evening at a party in flat AG02 with Jaz, and brunette Bex
- I had a whole bottle of wine, and a quarter of a bottle of vodka
- After the party, around 2:30am, I had to be put to bed because I had thrown up and was too drunk to stand

- After the smoke I went to Bristol with Adam, as we wanted to have some bestie time together
- We had lunch at The Stable on Bristol Harbour; I had a cheese and tomato pizza and a diet coke (which cost about £16 altogether, not bad eh)
- We then went to the clothes shop Beyond Retro to find clothes for Kaia's Birthday bash (hippie themed bash), I bought some horrendous trousers (which I now kind of like after having worn them)
- We then came back to Bath (around 7 ish), got ready for the party, and partied the night away until about half 2

- I spent the previous night on the sofa with Taylor so I woke up with really matted hair
- After my shower we made plans as a flat to go for lunch
- We tried to get into 5 different pizza places and they were all full until we found Franco Marko
- I again had a cheese and tomato pizza, as I'm boring like that
- on the bus back there was a dog, which made me very happy
- After we got back from the pizza place I was invited to the pub with Jo, Joe, and Ellis; unfortunately the pub was full so instead we got drinks in Lidl and sat in a park
- When it got dark (around 8 ish) we came back from the park and went to a party in Ellie's flat; I stayed till about 2am and then had to go to bed because I was tired

Notes
- We decided to make the most of the sunshine and go for a walk and a sit down in Victoria park
- It was very sunny all day, not particularly warm though
- The song to best describe this day for me was Sippin' on Sunshine by Avril Lavigne
- Later on in the park we decided to set up Taylor's hammock in a tree, and I also had a little climb in the tree
- After we went to the park, Taylor, Kaia, and I decided to go to the pub for the obligatory "1 pint"
- After a few rounds at the pub we went back to the flat and had a chill out on the sofa, just chatting about life

- I woke up and went for a smoke with Jaz
- While I was down there I saw my flatmate Rachel, who I hadn't seen since February, so I got very excited at her presence
- Rachel and I then went into town to get coffee. We went to Mokoko, a little coffee place near the Abbey. I got an oat milk latte and a salted caramel brownie, which was bomb as fuck!!!
- I then did some curation for my website for a few hours
- I changed my outfit ready for our dinner plans in the evening; I felt so sexy
- For Budoor's Iftar meal (Ramadan evening meal to break the fast) we decided to go to a Greek place called Opa. I had an overpriced moussaka. which was lovely, but not worth £17
- On the way home Bex and I took a few selfies :D

Notes
- I spent most of the day curating the stuff on my website so I didn't record very much
- I ate ramen for lunch, as per, and I also had a bowl of chips to snack on while I was curating
- I ended the long day with a visit to the pub; I had 3 pints of Amstel and then went to bed about 1am

- I woke up feeling a bit off, sort of like a "I don't know what I'm feeling but it's not good" and then when I looked in the mirror I sort of didn't recognise myself. it was a weird feeling
- As a way to try to combat the feeling I was having I decided to get creative with some photos
- At about 5pm I got picked up by my mother to go home for a funeral, which was happening the next day
- As soon as I got back I had many a dog cuddle, which was wonderful. I also got to see my twin which got me in a better mood
- We went for a dog walk around 7pm after dinner, which was lovely
- I went to bed at around 1am, which I'd say is a pretty reasonable hour

Notes
- I got up at around 12, midday and had ramen for breakfast
- I then got ready for Jessie's funeral, by ironing my scout uniform and smart trousers
- The funeral was at 3:30pm. There were lots of us there in our scout uniforms, and as we weren't allowed to go in, we formed a guard of honour either side of the road, and saluted her as she was driven down in the hearse. It really stung seeing her like that
- After the funeral we went to maccies to get some food in her honour, as she loved Big Macs
- When I got back home I had cuddles with my dog Bugsy as I felt like I definitely needed it
- Then my twin and I sat together and talked for a few hours, mostly about Jessie
- I went to bed around 12, midnight

- I got up at 11am and got ready for half past, but my mum wasn't ready on time which annoyed me a little bit
- We set off from Newport at about 1pm, and got into Bath around 2:30pm as the traffic was quite bad
- When I got back I went Lidl and Tesco to get some shopping
- My flatmates and I then went to Victoria Park and had barbeque. I ate 6 hot dogs and they were delicious
- After the barbeque, I went to the pub with my usual pub gang. I had 2 pints before going back to Waterside, and going bed

- I was really quite bummed out this day because of Jessie's funeral, so I took a lot of time to myself
- I spent the day watching Shameless on Netflix and snacking on chips
- In the evening I invited Jazz round and I platted her hair for her while we watched movies

- I woke up at around 12 midday as per
- I got a message from our group chat asking if we'd be down to go to Alexandra park, so I got ready. While getting ready I accidently cut my lip open when I was trying to take the plastic packaging off my new concealer

- We walked to the Tesco at the bottom of the hill before the park, bought some smacks, then got an Uber up to the park, because we're lazy
- When we got up to the park we put some music on and just chilled out. The view from the park is amazing, like oh my!! We stayed up there for about 3 hours, then made our way back down using the big steps

1-1 session
Notes
- I got up and had a shower straight away so I could be ready for my 1-1 session with Claire. I then made a ramen for my breakfast
- After the 1-1 session I did some curation for my website, then had a nap
- Later in the eve I went to the pub with my pub gang, and had about 4 pints, then rolled into bed around 1am

- After I got up I got dressed, and went down to the common room to play pool with my pub gang. We played for about 2 hours then went to the pub to start early
- We ended up spending about 6 hours at the pub
- When we got back from the pub we went back into the common room, played more pool, did some Just Dance on the TV
- I then went back to Joe's for a bit and did some naughty naughty ;) before going back to mine to sleep

- I woke up around 11:30am as I was helping a mate of mine with his FMP at 1:30pm, so I wanted to give myself enough time to get ready
- I went into Locksbrook around 1:20pm to meet my mate, and we got on with the project. I posed for 4 different headshots and managed to get them all done in about 10 mins, turns out I'm very photogenic
- After that was done I went back to Waterside and had some food and a nap
- I then went to the pub with my pub gang as per usual. At the pub Joe asked me to be his girlfriend, which made me very very happy

- When Joe and I got up at around 12 midday, we saw a message in the group chat asking if we fancied going for breakfast at Starbucks in town, so we got dressed and went
- After we had our breakfast we decided to go charity shopping because Joe needed to get some bits for his Ibsen style assessment costume. We also stopped in a guitar shop and Joe played the display bass they had. I managed to find a really pretty dress in one of the charity shops, which made me very happy
- After we were done in town we came back to Waterside and Fons decided to make us chilli for dinner. It was amazing!! That man is a spectacular cook!!!!!
- Then after the chilli we started on game night in the common room. We played Mortal Combat, Call of Duty Zombies, and Fall Guys

Midpoint reflection/evaluation - Everything so far
So far I am really enjoying the project and being able to showcase my everyday life. I really enjoy making the content for the days and talking to the camera, taking videos, and photographing; I find it so fun to do. Although, I am struggling to keep up with the amount of work I have to curate onto this website. I find myself doing big curation sessions with a week or 2 weeks worth of work, instead of curating every night. I think this is definitely down to my lack of schedule, and lack of time management, as well as my general forgetfulness. I think to amend this I need to come up with a better schedule to manage when I'm curating work so that the work doesn't get all piled up and stress me out. Another thing I have found difficult in this project is getting sketches into my day. I thought this would be an easy task, but I keep forgetting to bring my sketchbook when I go out (also the sketchbook is A3, which means it's not very portable). As a result of this, I have decided not to include sketches in my work, and instead keep the focus on photography, writing, video, and song (songs that are either rattling in my brain all day, or songs that best suit the day I have had).
Week 4 - 03/05/2021
Notes
- I woke up at about midday as per usual, and got dressed and ready for my day
- I popped to Lidl to get some food shopping once I was dressed. I spent about £40 because I bought enough for the next 2 weeks
- When I got back from Lidl I ate a ramen and sat with the flat mates for about 2 hours
- I then went downstairs to the common room to watch some movies with my pub gang. We watched Iron man, Iron man 2, Shrek, Shrek 2, and Shrek the third
- Afterwards I went back to Joe's for a little bit, before going back to mine to sleep

- When I got up I had a shower immediately as my hair was disgusting and greasy, like you could fry chips off it
- I then got ready for the day and made myself look nice
- Once I was ready I accompanied Jazz and Fons to Lidl and got myself 3 bakery items (apple turnover, toffee yum yum, and cherry custard lattice)

- We got back to Waterside just as Joe was coming back from a lecture. He was in a silly mood so I took pictures of him being silly with Jo, and Ellis
- We all then went into the common room and hung out for the rest of the day into the evening. We played pool and danced to music; it was honestly one of the most relaxing times I've had in a while
- At around 11pm Joe and I went to bed at his and fell asleep pretty much as soon as we hit the pillow

- I woke up and stayed in bed for about 2 hours before getting up. When I did decide to get up I took a selfie under Joe's pretty purple lights, which made the selfie look even better
- After fully getting up I went back to my flat and got myself dressed and ready for the day. I really liked the outfit I had on, I felt so pretty in it
- I then decided to do some tidying and organising of my room while watching Shrek 2 (described in the video)
- After that I went to the pub for about an hour and a half with my pub gang, before coming back to Waterside and chilling in the common room. We played some games and listened to music
- And again I stayed over at Joe's, I find I sleep better next to someone than on my own

Notes
- I got up about midday again and Joe had left me asleep in his room to go to his lectures, bless him. He came back about 1pm, we had a cwtch (welsh term for a cuddle), then I went back to mine to get dressed and ready for the day
- After getting dressed I reorganised my photo wall, as I had just gotten some new photos printed
- I then went to have a pool game with Jazz and a smoke, that lasted about 20 mins, then I went back to my flat to do some work on my website

- I got up at around 11:30am so I could be ready to have a lunch date with Adam
- We went to Prezzo for food as it was the only place with availability. I had a grilled chicken burger with loads of garlic mayo in it, which was so nice!!!
- Adam and I then had a nice wander around town, before he dropped me back to Waterside
- When I got back I met up with my pub gang and we went to the park to kick a ball about for a few hours
- Then later on in the evening, Joe and I started watching Star Wars (we're making our way through the whole universe including series' and movies)

Notes
- I got up at around 2pm this day, as it was the weekend, and played a bit of pool with my pub gang. We also got Starbucks
- After a few hours of pool I went up to mine to get dressed, then came back down once I was done to chill with the gang
- We had heard about a party happening in Waterside that evening, and we decided we wanted to go fancy for the party. We also decided to head to the pub before the party

- I had to escort Fons to the train station for 5pm, so we left just after the conversation about fancy clothes
- I dropped Fons off and came back to Waterside. When I got back I was told to go get ready in fancy clothes, so I did
- Once we were all dressed up, we went to the pub. We had 2 pints each before coming back for the party
- We stayed at the party for about 3 hours, then Joe and I went back to his to scran and sleep

- Me and the pub gang decided to go to the football fields to have a kick about for a few hours

- Joe and I woke up around 1pm ish and stayed in bed for about an hour. We then played some pokemon on the switch, had cwtches, and just chilled for about 2 hours
- We then got dressed and came out to chill with the pub gang for a bit. Ellis decided he wanted to play board games, so Joe got out Mandalorian monopoly, and we played that for about 2 hours. I won

- I woke up around midday when Joe got back, and we played a bit of pokemon and tidied his room
- After that Joe had to do an essay for his movement module, so I left him to get on with it and went back to mine to get dressed
- Once I was dressed, Jazz asked if I could dye her hair, so I did that for her and ended up dying my hands red
- After that Jazz and I played a few games of pool in commons, and while we were playing Joe came in because he'd finished his essay
- After we were done with pool, I went back to Joe's to chill

Reflection
Overall I feel like the project has been a success, and I'm proud of the outcome. I really enjoyed making the content for the project (video, photography, note taking), which is why I think the project was such a success; I put more effort into things I enjoy. I feel like my curation issue (that I wasn't finding time to curate regularly) has definitely been fixed. I made a plan on a scrap of paper for when I would curate, I also set reminders on my phone to remind me to do the work. Since my May reflection, I feel like I have been a better team mate with my group (before I wasn't as up to date with them and what was going on), I am definitely more up to date, participating in group calls, and sharing the workload for our group showing. If I was to do this project again, I would invest in a smaller sketchbook, that way I would have been able to bring my sketchbook to more places and have been able to include drawing/sketches in the project. I could also do with being more switched on and attending lectures, group calls, and important sessions as I haven't been very switched on throughout this project at all.
